When it comes to weeknight dinners, we’re all looking for something that’s quick, easy, and satisfying. And that’s where the beef and rice skillet comes in. This simple one-pan meal is perfect for those nights when you don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen but still want something delicious and filling.
The beauty of the beef and rice skillet is that it’s incredibly versatile. You can use any type of ground meat you like – beef, turkey, chicken, or even pork – and the recipe is easily customizable to suit your tastes. Plus, it’s a great way to use up any leftover rice or vegetables you might have in the fridge.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 box beef Rice-A-Roni
1 small can beef broth
1 1/2 cups hot water
Instructions:
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, prepare the beef Rice-A-Roni according to the package directions for browning the rice.
Once the rice is browned, add 1 can of beef broth, 1 1/2 cups of hot water, and the cooked ground beef to the skillet.
Stir well to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Reduce the heat to low and cover the skillet with a lid.
Let the mixture simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
Serve hot and enjoy!
