Cubano Sliders

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Served as party sliders, this quick spin on the classic Cubano sandwich!

These sliders have been the highlight of the menu at every single party I’ve hosted in the previous several months. They’re really tasty, and they’re devoured so rapidly because everyone adores them!

Ingredients

SANDWICHES:
2 dozen delicious rolls from Hawaii
1 pound deli ham, thinly sliced
12 Swiss cheese slices, thin (each slice cut into 4 pieces)
24 dill pickle slices

TOPPING:
1 stick butter, sliced into bits 1/2 cup
2 tablespoons minced onion, dry
2 tblsp. mustard (Dijon)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut a dozen rolls in half horizontally without separating them (they’re all glued together). In a greased 9×13-inch pan, place the bottom half of the rolls. If your pan doesn’t have enough area for all 24, you’ll need to use an extra pan.
Ham, cheese, pickle, and another slice of cheese are layered on top of the buns. To put the ham on top of the rolls, you’ll need to fold it up. On top of it, place the top half of the rolls.

Melt the butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Combine the onion and mustard in a mixing bowl. Drizzle the sauce over the rolls. Bake for 10 minutes with the rolls covered in foil. Remove the lid and bake for another 10 minutes.

Notes

Make ahead: You can make these sliders ahead of time and then bake them when you’re ready to serve them.
