Mini Cherry Cheese Danishes are delectable little morsels that are excellent for breakfast!
Ingredients:
2 (8-ounce) packets thawed frozen pastry dough sheets (they’re in the freezer area but must be thawed before unfolding.)
1 (8-ounce) container softened cream cheese
a third of a cup of powdered sugar (divided)
1 egg white (tiny)
1 can cherry pie filling (14 oz.)
½ tablespoons of milk
½ teaspoon extract de vanille
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Using cooking spray, coat 32 small muffin cups.
Each thawed pastry sheet should be cut into 16 squares. Fill each muffin cup with one square. In a medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, half of the powdered sugar, and the egg white until thoroughly combined. 1 spoonful of the mixture should be spooned into each muffin cup. Add a tiny spoonful of cherry pie filling on top (make sure each mouthful has one cherry!) Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 25 minutes.
Meanwhile, create the frosting by whisking together the remaining powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small dish.
When the Danish bits are done, remove them from the pans and set them aside to cool for 5 minutes. Remove the bits from the cups using a knife or a small metal spatula. Drizzle icing over the nibbles and serve right away.
