What is Cinna-bun Cake?

Ingredients:

For the Base:

3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup granulated sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 cups milk
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Topping:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

For the Glaze:

2 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and butter a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Mix well.

Add the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Stir in the melted butter and mix until the batter is smooth and evenly combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

In a separate mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Mix well.

Drop spoonfuls of the topping mixture over the batter, distributing it evenly across the surface.

Use a butter knife to swirl the topping mixture into the batter.

Bake the cake for 28-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake and serve.
