Ingredients:

1 bone-in prime rib roast (6-8 pounds)
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Salt and pepper, to your preference
Optional: Garlic cloves

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C).
Place the bone-in prime rib roast on a rack in a roasting pan.
Rub the roast with olive oil, ensuring it is evenly coated.
Season the roast with salt and pepper according to your taste.
If desired, you can insert garlic cloves into the roast using a paring knife.
Place the roasting pan in the preheated oven and roast the prime rib for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C) and continue roasting.
Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the roast to determine the desired level of doneness:
For medium-rare, the internal temperature should be around 135°F (57°C).
For medium, the internal temperature should be around 140°F (60°C).
For well-done, the internal temperature should be around 150°F (66°C).
Once the prime rib reaches your preferred doneness, remove the roast from the oven.
Allow the roast to rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing and serving. This resting period allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more flavorful and tender roast.
Slice the prime rib and serve it as the centerpiece of a delicious meal. Enjoy!

Note: Cooking times and temperatures may vary depending on your oven and the size of the roast. It’s always best to use a meat thermometer to ensure accurate results.
