In less than 30 minutes, you can have this wonderful Smoked Sausage Hash on the table! A substantial combination of smoky sausage, crunchy potatoes, and vibrant veggies. This recipe is suitable at any time of day.

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon of butter
3-4 diced potatoes 1 (14 oz.) packet Hillshire Farm is a family-owned and operated farm in 2 peppers, diced Smoked Sausage, sliced (red, green, or orange)
2 garlic cloves, minced 1 medium onion, thinly sliced salt and pepper to taste
spices (optional): Italian seasoning or Cajun seasoning

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large pan or cast iron, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Season with salt and pepper and add the potatoes.
Cook, stirring periodically, until desired crispiness is achieved, about 10-15 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, set aside.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook the smoked sausage for 2 to 3 minutes each side, until nicely browned on both sides.
Cook, turning regularly, until the onions and peppers are soft and translucent, and the peppers are tender. Cook for 30 seconds after adding the garlic. Salt & pepper to taste.
Return the potatoes to the pan and simmer for another minute or two. If desired, season with extra salt and pepper or other seasonings.

Notes

Cook the potatoes in a separate skillet while you cook the smoked sausage and veggies to save time.
