During my investigation for this salad dish, I discovered that it’s also known as Watergate, Green Goddess, Pistachio Delight, or Shut The Gate Salad, as well as Green Goop, Green Fluff, or Green Stuff. I mean, aren’t you partial to Green Goop? LOL
Salad de Fluff de Watergate
Pistachio pudding, pineapple, marshmallows, and cool whip make Watergate Fluff Salad a simple dessert salad.
INGREDIENTS
1 box instant pistachio pudding mix (3.4 oz.)
1 can crushed pineapple in juice (20 oz.)
1 cool whip container (8 oz.)
tiny marshmallows, 2 c.
1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
In a large mixing basin, combine the pudding mix and pineapple juice. To blend, stir everything together.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the Cool Whip and the sour cream. The marshmallows and pecans are then added.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving. Refrigerate for up to 3 days before serving.
