Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Ingredients:

24 vanilla wafers

Filling:

8 oz cream cheese
1 box vanilla pudding mix
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons banana extract
2 eggs

Brownies:

2 cups brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup melted butter
2 whole eggs + 1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving enough overhang to lift the brownies out of the pan.

In a mixing bowl, prepare the filling by combining the cream cheese and vanilla pudding mix until thoroughly incorporated.

Add the milk and eggs to the filling mixture, and mix until well combined. Stir in the banana extract.

In a separate large mixing bowl, prepare the brownie batter by combining both sugars, melted butter, vanilla extract, and eggs. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Add the flour, salt, and baking powder to the brownie batter. Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated, forming a thick dough.

Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.

Pour the filling mixture on top of the brownie batter, spreading it evenly over the dough.

Arrange the vanilla wafers on top of the filling in a 4 x 6 pattern.

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

Remove the pan from the oven and let the brownies cool completely before cutting them into squares.

Enjoy these delicious Banana Cream Brownies with a delightful combination of creamy filling, moist brownie base, and a hint of banana flavor from the wafers. They make a perfect treat for any occasion!
