PREPARATION:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease an 8×8 baking dish.
- In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter until it reaches an amber color, swirling the pan continuously to prevent burning. Remove from heat.
- Stir in the brown sugar into the warm melted butter until fully combined. Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the wet ingredients, stirring until well combined.
- Gently fold in the shredded coconut into the batter and then transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, covering with foil for the last 10 minutes. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing.
