Ingredients:

8 ounces of pasta (any shape you prefer)
1 cucumber, diced
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella work well)
1/2 cup ranch dressing
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley or dill for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the cooked pasta and rinse it under cold water to halt the cooking process. Set aside.
Prepare the vegetables: In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the diced cucumber and thinly sliced red onion. Toss them together to ensure even distribution.
Add the pasta and cheese: Add the cooked and cooled pasta to the bowl with the cucumber and onion. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
Mix in the ranch dressing: Drizzle the ranch dressing over the pasta salad. Begin with half of the dressing and add more as needed to achieve your preferred level of creaminess. Gently toss the salad to coat all the ingredients evenly. If desired, season with salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish and serve: Optionally, garnish the pasta salad with fresh parsley or dill for added freshness and appeal. Serve and enjoy!
