Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Crock Pot Chicken and Gravy is one of the simplest crockpot dinners to make. To make a hot and tasty supper at home, all you need are a few items, around 5 minutes to prepare, and 6 hours in the slow cooker.

Simple things are the most comfortable for me, and this Chicken and Sauce Slow Cooker is no exception. It will take you back to your grandfather’s place for dinner.

The grated white flesh chicken floats in a thick, creamy, and delicious gravy. Serving green beans or peas over white rice or mashed potatoes for a special family supper.

Ingredients are as follows:

2 pound chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
14 ½ oz chicken broth in a can
2 chicken sauce mix packets

Steps to follow:

1. In a slow cooker, place the chicken breasts. Pour in the chicken stock, cover, and simmer for 3 to 4 hours over high heat or until the chicken flakes easily.
2. Transfer 2 cups of the slow cooker’s broth/chicken juice to a saucepan. Any residual liquid should be discarded. Whisk together the two bags of sauce in the pan. Simmer, occasionally stirring, until the sauce thickens.

3. Remove the chicken breasts from the pressure cooker and cut them into more significant pieces while the sauce simmers. That concludes our discussion. Serve the chicken with the sauce on top. Yummy!
