1 cup softened butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons hot water
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and packed brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next one. Stir in the vanilla extract.
